Young Entrepreneur of the Year: Ross Timyan, Crystal Clean Automotive Detailing, LLC
Crystal Clean Auto Detailing began in 2007, when Ross Timyan decided to officially establish the company after selling vehicles online for friends at the young age of 15. Crystal Clean has expanded into a thriving organization that employs 35, and services more than 30 automotive dealership accounts, as well as thousands of retail customers in the local Grand Rapids area. Crystal Clean is recognized as a next generation car care center, incorporating the latest technology and maintaining a clean, modern facility that delivers a “red carpet” experience to every customer by providing the fastest turnaround, highest quality, and most convenient hassle-free experience without sacrificing workmanship or value.GRAND RAPIDS – Five companies and one entrepreneur were honored by the Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce at a May 18 dinner and award ceremony. The EPIC Awards (EPIC stands for Entrepreneurial, Progressive, Innovative and Collaborative) were held last night at the Frederik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park in Grand Rapids.
Award recipients were chosen by selection committees made up of business and community leaders. Recipients support the local community, demonstrate growth and stability, are innovative, and work with other businesses as mentors or collaborators.
“Reviewing the award applications shows the strength and diversity of the local business community,” says Rick Baker, President and CEO of the Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce. “There are many healthy, growing businesses here, and we are proud to honor six of these tonight.”
